About "The Writing Desk"
Who are we? The Writing Desk is a family-run business established in 2000 by Anna and Martin Roberts. Anna is a Solicitor but left the legal profession when her first child was born. She and husband Martin, a Chartered Engineer, then founded The Writing Desk with Anna running the business and Martin helping out on a part-time basis. In 2007, Martin joined The Writing Desk full-time and the business has expanded. How to contact us
The Writing Desk is a family-run business and it may not always be possible to answer your telephone call immediately. However, if you leave your name and telephone number and details of your enquiry on our answering machine we will return your call as soon as possible. Alternatively, e-mail your enquiry. As we are a mail-order business we do not have a shop. However, if you want to visit us to either look at some items or collect an order please phone or e-mail first to make an appointment.
Returning items If you need to return an item, please read our returns policy first. Our Philosophy Our philosophy is to provide the best possible service in all aspects and although we run an automated "shopping basket" system on our website we always deal with each order personally. We pride ourselves in providing a professional and personal service to all our customers and you can read some of their testimonials on our guestbook. We hope you find our website interesting and informative. It is developed and maintained in-house by Martin giving us the ability to offer a level of detail not possible with "off-the-shelf" web development products.
